Doodles | Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life

Hello lovely people.

I am now back in England and I must say I am having the holiday blues. I thought I would do a little blog post on something I have been playing around with. In the last couple of months I have really gotten in to 'doodling' as I like to call it. I love finding quotes that either inspire me, or make me smile and just jotting them down and doodling around them! I have also been creating designs for cards - maybe that can come in another blog post…

I actually started these whilst I was away. I recently bought two new pens, and they are amazing. Yes, pens. I'm not talking about make up, or clothes I am talking about pens. I never thought I would be excited by pens. But there we go - any of you arty farty, creative minds out there may understand my excitement.

I love these little sayings, the first one I found at a bar on the beach. We were having lunch and I noticed this huge canvas like board that was covered in photos of the shells, the sea and in the middle was this quote. I just really loved it especially being surrounded by the beautiful sea and beach at the time.

I love the second one purely because I love the saying. It's something I keep thinking back to at the moment. I thought I would try adding some colour too because it's a saying that speaks happiness to me.

I'm thinking of putting them onto card, let me know your thoughts :)

Holiday Post #3 | Cocktails By The Beach

Hello Summery faces

Ok, so the weather may of taken a little turn. It's been a combination of cloud, rain, sun - pretty much in that order too. I am trying not to be disheartened by it as I'm still in this gorgeous place, but I'm already starting to feel a little anxious about going home and at least the sun can distract you from that a little, right?

I have 2 sleeps left here then it's home time. So we have been trying to do everything we wanted to!

My boyfriend and I went for a couple of cocktails before dinner the other night, it was so lovely. We went to a place called the Beach Bar. It's decorated out to look like a beach shack you would stumble across on a long beautiful beach in somewhere like Thailand. It's covered with cute little quotes and signs, and has an area on the veranda covered in sand with painted crates and cushions stacked as sofas and foot rests. They also have great big bean bags to sink into - we didn't opt for those as I would of probably never got out!

We ordered my all time favourite cocktail Sex On The Beach. And sat on the sofas looking out to the sea, the sun was still shining and still super hot.

Drinking cocktails whilst very hungry and thirsty probably wasn't the most sensible thing to to, but oh well, that's what holidays are for. We merrily chatted whilst we drank away. It's moments like that when you just soak everything in and really and truly feel a million miles from home (in a good way)

Holiday Post #2 || Summer Nights

Hello Summery People.

It's me again, I am sat again in my usual position by the pool. It's 5.30, and the sun is still beating down. The sky is so clear and beautiful and there is a light breeze that cools the sun on your skin.

I have just been at a stables as my niece had a horse riding lesson. They were so wonderful there, and you can see that they live for their job, it's very humbling. The horse was beautiful and old. The stables also had puppies, 11 puppies! Just 2 weeks old - what a brave Mummy.

No plans for tonight apart from kebabs on the BBQ, wine by the pool and another evening of relaxing and forgetting the world.

What a gorgeous place I am in, and how lucky do I feel.

Thank you for reading my second Holiday  post.

Holiday Post #1 | Drinks, Food & A Burnt Bum

Hello summery faces.

My current view ; towering tall green trees, like the ones in the Lion King. Clear blue sky's, pink flowers climbing up the wall, a sparkling swimming pool, one boyfriend on a lilo and one niece singing and splashing in the pool. I can hear the birds tweeting, water splashing, and can smell the  summer scent that is sun cream.

I am holidaying with my family in the lovely country of Portugal. One thing I just love about being here is waking up and seeing the light come through the windows. As soon as I see it I'm ready to get up and go. Having said that the 'go' sounds much more energetic than it actually is. The go I'm referring to is come downstairs, mooch around get some breakfast and sit and watch the view go by.

Having been surrounded by this beautiful place, I felt the urge to write a post. I don't know what your holidays consist of, but so far mine has been relaxing, reading, walks along the beach, laying in the sun, for too long (sunburnt bottom) Ouch. Swimming in the sea, and a whole lot of eating, oh and of course the odd drink as well. If you can't eat and drink to your hearts content on holiday then when can you?!

Later today we are taking a long walk up the beach to a beach bar named Bj's - 'Bex and Jay' may I add... I'm really excited for this as we have been here before in previous years and its such a lovely set up. They are right on the beach and every Sunday have one man with his guitar playing. However they have been so busy that they have asked him to come in on a Friday as well. My tummy is rumbling as I type this, I constantly feel hungry here, is that the heat or am I just greedy?

Later tonight my boyfriend and I are going out for a meal in a restaurant which again has live music to enjoy. May I just add, I literally love listening to live music whether it be just a voice, a guitar, or any other instrument. I just don't think there is anything nicer than hearing the acoustic sound of a guitar and a voice. And well, that combined with food I'm a happy girl! We are celebrating our 2 year anniversary as well so hopefully it will be a gorgeous evening!

I'm going to get back to the sun now and work up my appetite a little more... I hope your all having a wonderful day. And enjoy your weekend, I hear its sunny in England?

Hello Stranger | Life Lately…

Hello lovely people.

It has been a very, very, long time. My life has been a little, up in the air lately. I'm not quite sure how else to describe it really. You know when you just feel a little all over the place? Thats been me. But I am back with a blog post, because I have many many instagram photos from the past few months that I thought I would share with you, AND I have some super exciting news…

But first here are some photos…

My Boyfriend and I had a weekend away in Brighton. I love that place.
Making the most of the sunshine whilst it was out, a trip to the Zoo, tea and cake, and a lovely weekend in Wales.
I have also had the Chop.
Last night, pretty beautiful I thought.

So like I said, life has been a little hectic. I have felt a little lost as well, not knowing what I should be doing or where I should be going. I think this is a well known feeling for most. Although we all seem to think we are the only person in the world feeling like this… It's not easy. and life is always one big lesson. Which brings me to tell you that I am taking myself on a new venture, business venture should I say. I am scared, excited, nervous and happy. I am nervous because I can't let this go wrong, I feel like I am always trying new things, and time after time they don't work or don't go to plan - it's that familiar feeling of disappointment that we all dread. But I am feeling excited and determined!

I am not going to tell you all JUST yet, but would love to keep posting and giving you all the big reveal when it's all ready to go, and I need all the support I can get.

Thank you so much if you have read this till the end. I am sorry if some made sense, I have kind of just had word diarrhoea and just typed away…

I hope you all had a great weekend and i'll post again soon!

Celebrating 4 | Weekend Fun

Wow - it's been a little while since I was last on my blog. I guess things have got on top of me, work things, then the Christmas period, new year, and now we are here. Well, I thought I would try and get back at it.

My niece is turning 4 tomorrow, so yesterday we went out for a spot of lunch at Frankie and Benny's, which was lovely. I hadn't been there for a long time - I love the 50's feel and love the music. I kept dancing in my seat and getting funny looks off the table opposite - woops. We also went bowling which is always fun, although I was really quite shocking! Luckily I got off to a good start, but only because I was getting the drinks and my boyfriend managed a strike for me...

I had a lovely day, it's not often we go out for the day all together and I miss doing it to be honest, it makes you remember how important they are. I'm sat writing this from bed before more madness begins again later. 15 hyper 3/4 year olds, lots of cake and one boyfriend dressed as Peppa Pig. Wish me luck!

Collar Inspiration.

Hello Lovelies

I was inspired to create this post recently because I keep seeing lots of photos on various social sites like Instagram and Pinterest of pieces of collared clothing. I have put together a little mood board of different collars and the ways they are worn.

I think they can do so much for an outfit. They can look gorgeously dressed up, or completely dressed down. I love that on a day where you don't really know what to wear, or can't really be bothered to make a load of effort - you can slip a collared blouse or shirt, throw over a jumper, even an over sized one and it can completely change the look of it. OR you don't even need to bother with the shirt now that you can buy the collared style necklace pieces which have been out for some time now. Subtle, bold, sparkly - you name it you seem be able to get it somewhere!

This has deffintely given me the urge to do a bit of collar inspired shopping....
